For soil stabilization of an existing roadbed, the pavement must first to be ripped the first layer to the desired depth for treatment.
The EarthZyme® soil stabilizer should then be applied to the soil as early as possible, pre-diluted with water, with enough water to bring the soil to the OMC (Wet Moisture Content).
EarthZyme® is applied with a standard water truck. It is suggested that the water be filled in the truck before adding the EarthZyme® soil stabilizer. This will prevent foaming due to the surfactant component of the blend. The most important in the distribution is the uniformity of the EarthZyme® product over the area being treated to be equal and consistent.
The next stage in the soil stabilization process / EarthZyme® is the blend. This can be done simply with the motor grader blade or similar machine.
Once the soil has been brought to the WTO and consistently mixed, the material is ready for compaction. It is important to note that even when using EarthZyme®, proper engineering practices must still be followed, such as attention to modeling and drainage.
